Bon Courage Estate performs well at this year’s SA Terroir Wine Awards.
We are excited to announce that the Bon Courage Noble Late Harvest 2016 has been recognized for its exceptional quality.
The Novare SA Terroir Wine Awards, which honours above all the Wine of Origin, has named this Noble Late Harvest a National Winner for this particular wine style, as well as one of the Top 5 Estate Wines in South AfricaThe wines from Bon Courage Es-tate did remarkably well and the estate also walked away with 4 District winners for the following wines:
Top Sauvignon Blanc - The Gooseberry Bush Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Top Cabernet Sauvignon - Inkará Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Top Sparkling Wine - Jacques Bruére Blanc de Blancs 2011
Top Fortified Sweet - White Muscadel 2017
According to André Bruwer, owner of Bon Courage Estate is Robertson blessed with exceptional soil. The flood plains of thou-sands of years ago mixed the mountain soils with the Breede river alluvial soil which makes the “terroir” on Bon Courage rather unique.
The estate enjoys the privilege of being situated at the confluence of three rivers which contributes greatly to the rich variety of soil. André and his winemaker son, Jacques, take full advantage of the opportunity to carefully harmonise soil and cultivar to achieve great diversity and exceptional quality.
All of the above wines can be purchased directly from the estate and are also available from selected retail outlets throughout the country.
