Weltevrede Wine Estate wins two medals at Chardonnay du Monde 2008
The Chardonnays of Weltevrede have continued their successful track
record at international wine competitions. At the recent announcement of results of Chardonnay du Monde (Chardonnay of the World) 2008, hosted in Burgundy, France, Weltevrede was the only South African producer receiving two medals for their Chardonnays. The Weltevrede Rusted Soil Chardonnay 2006 and Weltevrede Poet's Prayer Chardonnay 2006 both received silver medals.
Bon Cap Syrah steals hearts as the Best Organic Wine Since 1922 Good Housekeeping has captured the hearts of many a British household. Today it is rated as the United Kingdom’s second biggest-selling women’s magazine with a 1.5 million readership pole. Being granted a mention by them is thus a great honour and one that does not go down lightly. However, receiving the GOOD HOUSEKEEPING AWARD FOR THE BEST ORGANIC WINE on 25 February 2008 was an unexpected recognition and achievement for the team at Bon Cap Organic Wines in Robertson. Playing in the parallel ranks of Jamie Oliver as Top Television Chef, Gordan Ramsay as the Most Intimidating Celebrity Dinner Guest, and Waitrose as the Favourite Supermarket, they were able to stand amongst some of the most well known names of the culinary and wine world. Well done guys!
